At Barnes Farm Primary School, we believe that Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) plays an important role in supporting children to become happy, healthy, safe and respectful members of society. Through our RSE curriculum, pupils develop the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to build positive relationships, recognise and manage their emotions, stay safe both online and offline, and understand the importance of respect, equality and inclusion.

Our RSE programme is taught in an age-appropriate way and is embedded within our wider Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education curriculum. We work closely with parents and carers to ensure that learning reflects the needs of our pupils and supports the values of our school community.

For further information about the content of our RSE curriculum and how it is delivered, please read our RSE Policy below.
